Our Services & Technology

At Sierra Providence TotalCare Imaging, we offer the following diagnostic services by location:

TotalCare Imaging East
MRI - provides detailed pictures of the inside of the body using strong magnets and radio waves. We offer services on the GE Signa 1.5 Tesla High Field unit. This unit is notable for its ability to provide greater spatial resolution of images.
CT Scan - combines X-rays and computer scans to create images of the body. The result is a detailed image that can show problems with soft tissues, organs and bones. We are using the Siemens Somatom Emotion 16-slice unit. This unit has the ability to produce CTA studies (angiography) of the aorta and pulmonary arteries, and the multi-detector accelerates patient throughput. Additionally, this CT system has an independent workstation for 3-D multi-format imaging.

Ultrasound - uses sound waves to form images of the body's interior. We offer services on the GE Logic9 ultrasound system, which is capable of producing 3D/4D images. (Expectant parents will delight in seeing detailed pictures of their baby in utero produced by this system.)

Digital Mammography - uses X-rays to visualize abnormalities in the breast tissue. This equipment is used to detect breast cancer as early as possible, which generally improves the effectiveness of treatment. We use the Hologic Selenia/GE Sonographe 200D full field digital mammography system with Computer Aided Detection (CAD) capability.
Bone Densitometry - uses low-energy X-rays to scan the lower back, hip or forearm. This helps to help diagnose osteoporosis, a disease that weakens bones and makes them more brittle and susceptible to fracture. The Hologic system is being used at this location.
X-ray - uses a small amount of radiation to create images of bones and organs. We have two full units and a chest unit at this location.
In addition to the imaging services listed above, this location also offers lab draw and EKG services.

TotalCare Imaging West
MRI - provides detailed pictures of the inside of the body using strong magnets and radio waves. We offer services on the Hitachi Altaire 0.7 Tesla High Field Open MRI. This MRI unit has an open configuration and is able to accommodate patients weighing up to 450 pounds. It also has FDA-approved breast coils and the Confirma CADStream workstation for Breast Computer Assisted Detection. We are able to perform MR-guided breast biopsies on this MRI unit.
CT Scan - combines X-rays and computer scans to create images of the body. The result is a detailed image that can show problems with soft tissues, organs and bones. At this location, we are using the Siemens Quad Slice Somatom scanner with Wizard's workstation 3D reconstruction capabilities and calcium scoring software.
Ultrasound- uses sound waves to form images of the body's interior. We offer services on one of two Phillips ATL HDI 5000 systems with breast ultrasound-guided capability.
Stereotactic Breast Biopsy - Stereotactic breast biopsy uses X-rays to locate breast tissue to be removed for further study under a microscope. It may prevent the need for an open, surgical biopsy. We offer the Lorad Prone Multicare Stereotactic Breast Biopsy system with Mammotome Vacuum Assisted biopsy system.
Digital Mammography - uses X-rays to visualize abnormalities in the breast tissue. This equipment is used to detect breast cancer as early as possible, which generally improves the effectiveness of treatment. We use the Hologic Selenia full field digital mammography system with R2 Computer Aided Detection (CAD) capability.
Bone Densitometry - uses low-energy X-rays to scan the lower back, hip or forearm. This helps to help diagnose osteoporosis, a disease that weakens bones and makes them more brittle and susceptible to fracture. The Hologic system is being used at this location.
Fluoroscopy - uses X-rays to form real-time images of the body's internal structures.  The Phillips DSI Optimus Fluoroscopy system is being used at this location.
X-ray - uses a small amount of radiation to create images of bones and organs. We have a Gendex High-Frequency Radiography Room unit at this location.
In addition to the imaging services listed above, this location also offers lab draw and EKG services.

TotalCare Imaging Central
MRI - provides detailed pictures of the inside of the body using strong magnets and radio waves. We offer services on the Hitachi 0.7 Tesla Open Architecture Mid-Field MRI at this location.
Ultrasound - uses sound waves to form images of the body's interior. We offer services on the GE Logic9 ultrasound system, which is capable of producing 3D/4D images. (Expectant parents will delight in seeing detailed pictures of their baby in utero produced by this system.)
X-ray & Diagnostics - X-ray uses a small amount of radiation to create images of bones and organs. We use the GE 100 Radiographic System at this location. It is connected to an Afga CR system; at this location, all images from our MRI, Ultrasound and X-Ray units are routed to the entire network through the use of our GE Centricity PACS system.

TotalCare Imaging Gateway

MRI - provides detailed pictures of the inside of the body using strong magnets and radio waves. We offer services on the Picker 0.2 Tesla Open Architecture Low Field unit.

CT Scan - combines X-rays and computer scans to create images of the body. The result is a detailed image that can show problems with soft tissues, organs and bones. We are using the Toshiba Aquilion Quad slice unit. This unit has the ability to produce CTA studies (angiography) of the aorta and pulmonary arteries, and the multi-detector accelerates patient throughput.

Ultrasound - uses sound waves to form images of the body's interior. We offer services on the GE Logic 7 ultrasound system.

Bone Densitometry - uses low-energy X-rays to scan the lower back, hip or forearm. This helps to help diagnose osteoporosis, a disease that weakens bones and makes them more brittle and susceptible to fracture. The Hologic system is being used at this location.

TotalCare Imaging Sierra

MRI - provides detailed pictures of the inside of the body using strong magnets and radio waves. We offer services on two MR systems; one is the GE Signa 1.5 Tesla High Field unit (This unit is notable for its ability to provide greater spatial resolution of images) as well as a Siemens Concierto 0.3 Tesla Open Architecture Low Field unit.
